Pringle - I really hope your DH gets better soon I must have missed your original post blush As for buying....just don't think it's possible yet, DH hasn't been self-employed for a year yet and he is only just making a profit, maybe in a years time we will be in a much better position!

Spitler - YAY!! so pleased you passed smile that is wonderful! They say that no 2 pregnancies are the same and certainly in your case it's very different this time around! wink

To both of you smile no cramps today! it's as if yesterday never happened, I feel completely fine BUT I am also NOT lifting Theo up anymore and this may be making all the difference.

Glad you all like the quilt/bumper! I am going to make the valance sheet tomorrow and tart up the cot mobile I bought smile

Hey ladies.

Yesterday I got so sick I got fed up and went to the docs and said they had to do something./ Well I left with a prescription of Zofran which I wanted to shove in the drs face cause I had been on it before and it did absolutely ZIPPO! Anyways, went to the pharmacy and medicaid only pays for 4 of the dang thing anywas.... I took them and noticed they were the generic. So Im thinking, great, even more reason for it not to work. Knock on wood though, I havent thrown up since. Please God let this work.

How's everyone doing?

Hows your hubby pringle?

Hows everyone celebrating Halloween. As a kid growing up I never did so it has stuck with me but I cant wait to do things like Fall festivals with my babies.

Lovely ladybugs! Im still a little jealous I didnt get my girl, but I am enjoying looking at all of the girly nurseries.

For the mothers/mothers2b that have already done it, when is a good time frame to start a registry and send out baby shower invites?

Loving the lady bug stuff!! So sweet!

Candy, so sorry hun, wish there was something I could do to make it better. i can't imagine being that ill for so long!

SweetestTea, I liked my baby shower being like at least 6 weeks before I was due. Gave me plenty of time to get everything put away, washed, etc without over doing it! I always send invites out about 2-3 weeks in advance to give people plenty of notice, and I started me registry when we found out what we were having, did bits and peices of it here and there along the way.
I have one shower coming up Nov. 15th, and then DH's mom wants to throw one, but she wants to wait until mid January (when I'm having this baby like a week and a half/two weeks later =( )
Knock yourself out thats what I say!! ha/ha

lol I figured its more than far along enough to start a registry, but I wasnt sure when it was god etiquette and what kind of things I should put on it. I knwo what I want but Im not sure how much I should expect from my loved ones and how much I should count on getting myself. I decided to plan my own shower most likely in conjunction with my SOs mother and godmother. He wants to do a seperate one for his friends...who knew guys had drunken baby shower parties smh. lol I guess in a way it is his chance to have his last big hurrah before he has to settle down into Daddy mode.

I put anything and everything I thought I needed/wanted on my registry with my daugher. This time I registered for things that we needed this go round since I got a lot of things gender neutral (big items) that I could use again with the next baby. Make sure you have a variety of prices/items and people will choose what to get for you! Whatever you dont get at the shower, but still feel like you need get. With both kids, Dh and I bought the bedding set, and registered for the accessories etc. All of our baby furniture has always been donated to us from friends etc, so no one had to buy that. Good luck. Babies r us has a registry helper tool and I think so does target, you can even do those online! Have fun, registries are exciting!

ST - Love the nursery theme laugh so cute!

Sweetest - Like Pringle says we don't have baby showers in the UK, they are such a great idea though and sound like loads of fun, I am sure yours will be a blast!

Spitler - Your baby shower isn't that long off at all, wonder what you will get!

Rio and SMR - How are you girls doing????

Candy - So sorry the pills have stopped working, your sickness will hopefully start to wear off soon, it's usually around now however, I did have sickness right up until 21/22 weeks and I still get random days now where I feel like I could throw up frown

Pringle - So glad your DH is feeling better, my hubby and Theo both have stinking colds at the moment, I hope to escape it! I have had no more cramping laugh just hoping that experience was a one off - growing pains maybe!?

Theo had some photo's taken today at nursery but he has this horrid red rash on his cheeks from teething so I can't see the pictures will be all that, I did ask the photographer if she could photoshop his face but she simply said no! Oh well, maybe I will be able to scan them in and make adjustments here and there.

Don't know what we'll do today, it's horrible outside!

St- Wow that looks so cool! Ladybug design is super cute. Is that wall papaer or is the wall pained pink and they just stuck the designs on them?

Sweetest- Here's my take on what people should register for: EVERYTHING!!! Seriously its not your concern if they dont get it. The point is someone just might but if you dont register for it they cant. My experience with planning baby and bridal showers is that you will be surprised sometimes how generous people can be. Sometimes groups of people, friends , family, co-workers put together to get those higher priced items too. As for when to hold the shower, I would think with babies you have to make sure you give yourself enough time to wash and put stuff away (being preganat you may not want to do too much at once). .
As for me I will have mine in Feb. The babies are not due till END OF aPRIL But I know I wont get to that date and with twins there can be complications where they have to come much earlier. I wanna get it out of the way. The two God-mothers will be throwing it and I'll wait for them so that we can register.

Bleh- I gotta go I'll be back to finish this post

Sweetest, my baby shower was held at 32 weeks. It was thrown by my mother in law, so I am unsure when she mailed/handed out invites. If you are throwing it yourself, I would think that a couple weeks in advance, at least, is a good time to send them out. Oh, and yes, register for anything you want. Remember a registry is a wish list. It doesnt mean that you are greedy if you register for everything. Like Candy said, you would be surprised what people will buy you!! My DHs work all pitched in and bought us the $180 baby monitor that I thought I would end up buying ourselves!! And remember, items not bought on your registry are usually offered at a discounted price a couple weeks before your due date (the store will mail you a coupon). Hope this helps smile
