I was just diagnosed yesterdasy with herpes and have been in excrusiating pain for four days now where I can't walk right, can't sit down and really can't function. I have had to take off of work and can't do anything I'm used to. I received a prescription for Valtrex, but that's not helping with the pain I feel peeing or even in general when ANYTHING gets anywhere near my genital area. I hear the first outbreak is the worst, but even the doctor was surprised at how much pain I was in when examining me. What an I put on the blisters so I can walk normal and actual function outside out my home?

You'd have to ask a doc that question i'm afraid. I would recommend something like witch hazel to calm inflammation...but I'm not sure about how it would work with your blisters and I don't know if it would interfere with your other medication. Best thing to do is ask.
