Years ago I think the doggy style position had the stigma of being "nasty". Not sure why, maybe because some considered it "animalistic"?

Why don't you try to ease him into rear-entry positions? Maybe the spooning position, lying on your sides with him behind, or perhaps climb on top facing in the cowgirl position, and then turn around into the reverse cowgirl position?

Your preference is certainly not weird. InIn my experience, doggy style is probably the favorite position of the females I have had sex with, with cowgirl running a very close second and missionary third.

I have long suspected that my cervix or something is positioned in a way that makes stimulation better in doggy style or spooning. I never thought of it being the other way around. Doggy style can be uncomfortable for some women depending on their partner's size and their particular anatomy as it does allow for pretty deep penetration.

The male partner may need to exercise a bit more restraint than he would like. Sometimes the woman can find a more comfortable angle by dropping her chest down onto the bed which might cause the uterus and cervix to drop forward (toward the bed) a bit bringing the cervix out of the line of fire, so to speak.

ps i almost never come from missionary. it feels good, but i just can't come. This is the position my partner likes almost exclusively for intercourse.

Have you tried getting on top facing? Most guys like it and it seems to be a favorite for a great many women. It will give you more control over angle, rhythm, and depth of penetration.

In missionary, do you have the flexibility to put your legs up over his shoulders? If so, have you tried it? That position allows for very deep penetration similar to doggystyle. You will probably need some pillows, or a wedge under your butt.
