yeah, after delivery, I felt like my privates were run over by a truck....(uhh, that's a picture for you lol) Anyways, it does get better..it sux, but it gets better..just lots of painkillers, Mel!

Watch me be LAST on this thread to have my baby! That can so happen. I hope not!!! He's been REALLY active lately so I'm taking that as a sign that he's becoming uncomfortable in there. The only thing I'm hoping for at this point is for him to be born Dec. 1st or 2nd. (1st, as you all know, Max's bday in July..and if he's born 2nd, that'll be cool, too, 'cuase he's the "second" baby hahah) O fcourse it doesn't really matter either way, but it's keeping my "busy" lol

TDG, it feels like I have twins sometimes too. ESPECIALLY when I'm think it's his arm? and I feel it ALL THE WAY literally on the side of my waist! I'm like how on earth did he reach there and HOW?! 'Cause we all know they're all snuggled tight in there, so that is wierd to feel them kind of all over the place at random times. I'm hoping my next pregnancy will be twins, too lol I alwways wanted twins and i want four kids (god willing), so that'll be one less pregnancy! Oh, and boy and girl or two girls (to even it out).

Hope everyone had a good thanksgiving! I ate way too much, but loved every minute hehe. And my at dr appointment which was a few days before turkey day, he's like "try to eliminate carbs"....yeah, easy for him to say with thanksgiving coming up! Well, I kind of did "eliminate" them...I elimated them off my plate and proceeded to place them in my mouth lol

lmao jasmine! I have gd and I still couldnt get enough carbs on thanksgiving. I literally sat and ate ALL afternoon. Idk how I managed to fit it in with NO stomach room but I just couldnt stop. lol. If you are after me than that would be crazy, cuz I will be very suprised if he trys to come out before the scheduled dday. I cant figure out what Im feeling...it just doesnt feel like hands or knees..it feels like 4 feet! lol. I guess maybe he has HUGE hands(not impossible given his daddy). Then today at the Dr, the nurse went to use the doppler and she put it way over on my right side...I went to open my mouth to tell her hes on the left(where I can feel his body pushing out) and she found the heartbeat! How the hell was she getting a heartbeat over there when I could feel him on the other side?? Maybe his head was over there?? IDK but it was weird!

Appt was kind of a waste of time. I drove an hour in a blizzard for no reason. My bp was still high, babies heartrate was fine, Im measureing big---nothin new but I didnt even get to see the Dr. She was doing an emergency c section and they told me I could wait or just leave..she had JUST left so I figured shed be 1/2-1 hour at least so I left. I cant believe our first real blizzard is this late in the year--usually we start around halloween. The roads were terrible..we even saw a semi jackknife and a huge bulldozer it was pulling fell off the trailer! Can you imagine running into that! YIKES! But we made it home safe and are making homemade chicken noodle soup n just hanging out. I LOVE blizzards when I dont have to be out in them. lol.

Its too quiet here. Im not so patiently awaiting someone to pop next. You all have to hurry up so it can be my turn! lol.

Anyone feelin anything good yet?

Mel--are you still checking in here? I can relate even more to your situation now as its looking like df might be getting laid off in the very near future. Ive been sick over it all day. He does his own side jobs along with some sales, but things have been slow all year so our savings isnt good at all right now so this just sucks. What a depressing way to celebrate christmas and welcome a new baby! I hope both our men find even better jobs in 2011!

Overall, I'm feeling the same, just random contractions throughout the day. Oh, and of course a scratchy throat so I might be getting sick! suxxxx

I'm soooo hoping it'll happen tomorrow!!!!

Sorry, TDG, about the job situation with DF frown

Jasmine good luck - it shouldn't be too long now - those contractions can be frustrating when they seem to lead nowhere, but maybe your uterus just needs some prectice for now.

TDG hope your DH doesn't get laid off. That must be stressful. My DHs contract ends at the end of February next year and so we are also nervously waiting to see whether he will get another contract at the same place - would love for it to be permanent, but right now just not being laid off will be good especially since that will be about two weeks after baby arrives.

I do still check in here a couple of times a day, it just normally happens that as soon as I try to post the little Mr wakes up smile

TDG I am so sorry you are going through the same thing, the timing is so crappy but I am determined not to let it spoil this time with my new baby. BF is sooo worried but I keep trying to reasure him that as long as we are VERY carefull we should be okay for about 4 months, we are also trying to find out if we are entitled to any benefits of some sort short term. ((((hugs)))) hunny, things will work out, for both of us I am sure!

Jasmine I just saw your ticker, 39+1, thats when I went into labour!!!! Not long now hun smile

Things have gone pretty quiet in here, come on ladies, have these babies already laugh

Hey Nessa, I actually am taking to it pretty well laugh He is a sleeper though, sleeps pretty much all day apart from when he is eating so I know that is going to change soon! Now I am healing good too so feel so much better than when I first came out of hospital! Can't believe the little guy is already a week old!!!

I am pretty impressed with the weight loss too, so far at 1 week PP I have lost 18 lbs, I went up to 165 during pregnancy and am now 146, just 20 lbs to go! lol!!! I took a post partum pic today, will post it later in the bump thread if I get time smile

Good job mel! I think you'll find the pp weight loss quite nice in the first few weeks. I lost 35lbs in the first 3 weeks! It was awesome! But, um, I was a fattie and still had more to go!!

Aww, thats great! Does he sleep pretty well at night too? He will definetly have more awake time as the weeks pass. And great news on the healing. Like I said, it took me about 2 weeks for all the swelling and pain to go away. I even started to slowly exercise again, just started out with brisk walks, and progressed up to cardio. I listened to my body, and felt well enough to start exercising before the reccommended 6 weeks.

Before you know it, he will be a month old 2 months old, etc. It goes so fast. Enjoy every moment. I so very miss Sofie being so tiny. Now she uses her two fat little legs to get into as much trouble as she can find. I really do need eyes in the back of my head!! Lol

mel sounds like you are doing great and so does baby luke. Paige is really still a sleeper now even at 4 weeks. (almost 5) she has started to wake a little more. I have started to do the eat, wake, sleep routine....she is eating every 2 to 3 during day and about 5 to 6 at night. I always do a feed at 1030 and she always sleeps till 515am!!! that long stretch really helps me! I am pumping at the 1030 feed and my dh is giving her a bottle then I pump at 515am on one breast and feed on the other and agian at 830am feed then I am done pumping till the 1030pm feed. I started this at 3 weeks and it has gone great!! I already have about 50 oz saved up for when I return to work in jan. I call it my flexible schedule. I feed kinda on demand during day, but always do a feeding at 1030pm. if it is time to feed lets say at 9pm I just top her off a little so she will eat again at 1030pm I call it the dream feed and it works!!!
just a fyi for you all bc this really is working well for me smile
yes the weight loss it great in begining....it does platuea around 3 to 4 weeks just fyi. but don't be too hard on yourself the weight will come off and the slower it does the more likely it will stay off. just be healthy. I really have been sucking down the water! it goes so fast, reallly enjoying every minute of it.
I am also going thru the financial struggles too!! I think most or a lot of people are. it sucks. but I try to be thankful for my healthy family and know it will all work out!! easier said then done....must be a positive day for me!! smile

Mel, already a week old!!! It's already flying by! lol Good to hear you're feeling better 'cuase it does take a while to return to normal, but slowly it does get better. He sounds very good natured smile I know you hear this a million times, but enjoy every minute, seriously, 'cause it goes by fast!

OMG, now I can't wait! lol Today is the 1st, so I'm hoping it'll happen, but no contractiosn at all today. But I'm still hoping water might break lol I'm majorily active as I can be...oh, like now, Max came to dance with him (one of his favorite songs came on) so just bopped up and down and around for like 3 minutes....and we do that at least 3 times a day.....so I am surprised my water didn't break yet! I think this baby is liking it in there or something....

Ill update more later..just have a quick sec right now. DF did not exactly quit and wasnt exactly fired...but what happened is beyond crazy. His boss is a crazy irrational person who is trying to drive him to quit instead of laying him off(so he doesnt have to pay unemployment benefits). They had a massive blow up today because the boss has been working, telling df he isnt, so dfs only worked 2 days in the last 2 weeks, and the boss will not call df when he says he will, and ignores when df calls him...then he is trying to say df just isnt showing up at work! Seriously insane. This isnt the first time hes played games like this, but usually if df confronts him he admits he is just stressed over his wife(whom he constantly tells df his plans to murder!!!! CrAzY person!) and they work it out and he bribes df to stay because df knows how to do everything and can manage a crew so the boss doesnt have to show up if he doesnt feel like it. Well now hes got a new guy who knows a lot(altho df says he still comes to him 10 times a day to ask how to do things so obviously he doesnt know as much). DFs friend used to work for this guy and he did the same thing to him apparently...hes just a nut job. Anyways df has a meeting today with another guy so hopefully that will work out good...well see! I told him if the other guy doesnt need him to start right away he should show up at work tomorrow just to tick off the boss and get him to actually lay him off! LOL.

mel--Im glad to hear you are feeling better already and Lukes being an easy baby. I hope that keeps up as well! My kids were both soooooo easy Im a little scared I wont get that lucky with number 3! lol. Dont blink because hell be months old, then a year old...then three!! :P

court--Im also glad to hear things are going well for you and Paige! Bfing really isnt difficult for everyone. It went extremely well for me. I try to stay positive about our fiances but this has all come as such a shock its been hard. This entire year has been a let down with money and I thought things would be much much better by now, not getting worse!

jasmine--LOL. I can just imagine you danceing around like a crazy lady. Have you tried sex, or the rubbing the oil on the belly like nikki suggested?

nikki--you said usually 5 days early...its bout time. How are you feelin?

Not much new here. Brendyn is doing AMAZING with the potty! YAY!!! Babys been very quiet. Hes defidently going to be a night owl. My bladder is sooooo squished I pee on myself a lil too often. It freaks me out thinkn my waters breaking, but its always just pee! (gross right! lol) 29 days!! laugh

(DF still hasnt met with the new possible boss...fingers crossed! lol)

Besides gargling hot water w/salt, what else is good and actually works for a scratchy/itchy throat????? This is driving my crazy 'cause it's getting worse! My eyes are just tearing up every second, ears stuffed....ughhhhhhh

TDG, thats' what I'm thinking with my second as well...is he going to be as easy as the first.....in utero they're similar, some differences, but basically the same, so I'm hoping! Good news on Brendyn smile

Nikki, yeah, you could be in the hospital as we speak! Update, please wink

Hey Mel I am glad you and your lil man is doing well. Welcome to motherhood and enjoy every bit of it. It's very rewarding:)

Wow court what a great schedule I am glad breastfeeding is going so well for you and you get a good amount of sleep.

Yeah right no hospital yet ladies I am still here and have been contracting all week. I have an appointment today I am going to let her strip my membranes and if that doesn't put me in active labor then I am going to try the castor oil on my belly sometime fri or sat to see if it works for me again. I thought my water broke the other night, but it didn't I just tinkled myself lol. Anyway I am still being very patient. I finally have everything completed I have been nesting all day. I just got finished moping the floor 1:30 in the morning. I will be going food shopping before my appointment and then I think I will be ready for baby.

So Jasmine are you going to try the castor oil? All you have to do is rub a nice amount on your entire belly and then put a towel in the micowave to make it hot, but not to hot lay it on your stomach until the towel gets cold and if your body is ready it will jump start your labor. You should try it, it won't hurt to try it good luck.

It's not 5 days yet TDG, but I am close I'm pretty sure by the weekend because I have been contracting like crazy, but my body always need a jump start and I think with the doc stripping my membranes and then using the castor oil should be enough for me to go in.

I will def keep you ladies posted. Have a goodnight or shall I say goodmorning:)

Nikki hope they can get your labour started properly - must be frsutrating to contract for so long! Can't be too much longer to go though by the sounds of things.
