hey camp -
good to hear you're doing a little better. i just realized it's been about 3 months for me (it's seemed so much longer) and i would say i feel 90% with nowhere near the episodes i used to have. i have some slight paranoia/anxiety/whatever it is still but it's a lot more controllable and my husband has seen the world of difference in me! i've actually picked up an old hobby that i've really delved into and plan on opening an etsy shop soon, so on that end i'm at 100%. i can actually be by myself and not sit alone depressed. i just saw winnie the pooh a few weeks ago and was thinking, man i used to be like eeyore!
i was lucky enough to get my period back within the first month, and it's been pretty normalized now. i would say time is definitely a huge help, and i was taking B vitamins that improved my mood dramatically. starting to wean myself off, and i've been stable so far. hope this is encouraging!

wingsclipped - I'm with you. Fatigues and forgetfulness go together.
I'm dealing with lots of anxiety at the moment and am fatigued with it. Last night my dog was sick, which meant little sleep (not what I needed), when I did get to nap I woke up overwhelmed with nausea, twitching muscles, numbness and dread.
Which doctor is the first point of call for anxiety, I am having problems coping with it? Any advice? Is it your PCP?

Bee- looks like we are on the same boat here but my doctor wants to rule out mono so I have to get tested for that ASAP. Just to besure but unbalanced hormones/anxiety can cause all these symptoms as well -Clark- posted a very helpful link its a list of the different types of anxiety. http://www.anxietycentre.com/anxiety-symptoms.shtml

Thanks wingsclipped - I'd seen that before. It's useful but that's some list! How are you today?
I had a bit of a breakdwon at my chiro's today. Burst into tears while talking about anxiety and tingling and so on. She was super nice, sat with me and talked through everything, and she said "yes" the birth control pill can have a dreadful impact on many women. She is giving me the names of some local primary care docs who she recommends for understanding women's issues. I keep hearing from folks that I should get tested for Lyme too. Seems odd, but the symptoms can be similar to what I'm experiencing.
This whole process is costing me an arm and a leg. But it's your health right? What can you do.

No I gave to wait for my aunt to get back I sent it to her po box have you gotten yours?? I'm still so tired and sluggish I wonder if it's the anxiety thats messing with my sleep and thats why I'm so out of it? I've noticed I can't nap during the day and I've been having trouble falling asleep.
Have any of you ladies have or had this issue I'm 4 months off

Wings - yes I did and am gobbling it up, it's an easy and interesting read. Trouble I'm finding is that I don't know what my health issues are, is it the pill, is it something else? And,for me, until I have answers, I'm not sure how to get to the point of being ready to tackle the anxiety. I think if you know that the pill is the offending poison then this book can help you greatly. It can also help you understand what triggers nervous responses and why anxiety is self-perpetuating, as well as tips for dealing with it. At the end of the day - it takes time. But there is hope and it can be done.
Wings - Sleep is the first thing to be impacted, and anxiety is exhausting, but it keeps us from a normal calm deep sleep, so there is no relief from the fatigue, even if you do get a full 8 hours, because it's hard to get rested. Take heart, there is light at the end of the tunnel. (I hear)!

Hey BB - If the doctor didn't see symptoms of MS, I'm sure you're fine, but I know it's hard when your mind is very vulnerable! I went through that myself thinking I had a heart problem since I was having heart palpitations when I had panic attacks.
I'm 4 months off the pill today and I just went through my 3rd week (I'm supposed to get my period this week). This is the least amount of anxiety I've had in over a year! Getting off was the best decision I could've made for myself - I should've listened to the ladies on this forum earlier!
Hope everyone is well!

Hey ladies
Just wondering if anyone has taken prozac/citalopram for their anxiety post-pill? I seem to only feel 100% normal during my period which is not good enough, although the anxiety is much less now (10 mths on) than in the early days.
Just wondering if it worked, and if it affected libido - can't let mine get any lower than it already is!
Also, I've read the supplements thread and many websites but have no idea what to do re vit bs and magnesium - take them all the time? take them in the week before my period? how much?
Any help appreciated!
Hope you're all having a good, or at least okay day today.

Hi ladies. Enjoying your blog alyssa! Glad u r liking the book bee. I think it is a good book no matter what is causing the anxiety.
Hey floss. Several ladies r on ant-ds. Kimberly and. Kerbear. Jmel was for a while. Try and ask those ladies.
Hope u get if book soon wings. I am official 10 months off. A million times better than the beginning. So thankful. However still dealing with bits of anxiety and stupid thoughts. If I can beat that then I am golden.
It seems those 2 things like to linger. Uggggh.
Keep the faith
