PaulaKoala Senior Member Registered: 10/01/09 Posts: 398	My friend who is a mom of 2 and separated for 1 yera wants to start dating but is not sure what to write on her profile. She has weekends free and works mon-fri. She's looking for someone to date casually on the weekends. Any suggestions on what to write that doens't sound cheesy or provocative. She's more cheesy than provocative in real life lol. _________________________

Tell your friend to be honest and herself, and to write enough to give someone a reason to think "Okay, now there's something different about this one." I've seen a lot of profiles that say "I enjoy nice dinners out and walks on the beach." Gee, really? Honesty in physical appearance is important. The more pictures, and the closer-up and clearer, the better. A date will see her close-up and clearly if they ever meet, so there's no point in trying to get by with few or fuzzy photos. We're not all models--mighty few of us are, actually--so it's more about having some good honest photos that show her in a positive light than about looking like Miss America. I would suggest she be especially honest about her marital status and about what she wants. What does "date casually on the weekends" really mean? What kind of person is she hoping to attract, and what is she willing and truly able to contribute to the relationship?

His Dudeness New Member Registered: 01/26/11 Posts: 23 Loc: California	While I've actually never been to the forum, one of the many Plenty of Fish subforums is for profile reviewing. many get referred to that forum & never come back, so maybe it's useful. Most women complain that men online are just looking for casual dating, so she should have her pick of the litter.

My Mom tried it out for a while & used to ask me to check out guys for her, (shes not super computer savy), amazing how many blatantly lied about important details... Like the one who Claimed he was a Non-Smoker, dident drink and was a good Christian man etc etc (you know.. all the "perfect" answers. Trouble is I found his Police record for 2 Counts of DUI......And it wasent hard to find _________________________ Little Red Riding Hood was walking through the woods when suddenly the Big Bad Wolf jumped out and said, "Red, I'm going to screw your brains out!" Red Riding Hood reached into her basket, pulled out a .44 magnum and yelled, "No you're not! You're going to eat me, just like it says in the book!"

biker_061 New Member Registered: 05/14/10 Posts: 17 Loc: Oklahoma	be as honest as possible (without writing an autobiography) in the descriptions or likes and dislikes areas. it's been 6 years since i met my lovely wife (aka my OL for my altpenis friends) at on yahoopersonals. we were both honest and communicated for a while before we me f2f. from a male perspective nothing is more disturbing to have the person you meet be nothing like the one in the profile. i.e. old/out dated pix, relationship status, physical descriptions (hey i'm not [insert favorite male celeb here] and i don't expect you to be miss februaury either. but 5'2 and 225 is a little more than 'average'.), be honest in what you like and dislike and be absolutely honest about smoking/alcohol/drugs. as my username says i'm a biker...DUH i ride a lot, had many many ladies who thought 'liking' motorcycle riding meant for 15 minutes once a month or less but who thought a man should like chick flicks and craft shows every weekend. honesty and realistic expectations will be best way to proceed Edited by biker_061 (01/24/12 01:46 PM)
