you are in early stages of pregnancy?? I have a digital thermometer which I just put under my tongue.....I got a reading of 98.7 and wondered if that was considered high. I am 6 days post ovulation.

Yes I believe your temp should be high when your preg. BUT that means your basal body temp should be high. You need a basal thermo. and you need to take your temp FIRST thing in the morning. 98.7 isnt really even a high temp enless your regular temp is lower then 98.6. I know thats supposed to be "normal" but my temp with a regular thermo is never that. Its always much lower, and Im sure some peoples is always a little higher. And if your only 6 days post ovulation then your temp is supposed to be higher, preg or not. The phase after ovulation just makes your temp jump and then it will either stay high if your preg..it should last like 10-15 days or it will fall when AF is comeing. Hope that helps. Im so confused with my bbt right now too. It dropped this morning-14 days after ovulation--but its also very cold here today and its now 4:30pm and there is still no signs of AF. Does anyone know how long after the temp drop that AF should show up?
