Hi everyone! I had my first ultrasound yesterday. I am 7 weeks, 2 days, one week further along than I thought. I saw the baby's heartbeat and heard it as well. It was amazing! My due date is August 5th. I do not feel terribly sick. I think I may escape the nausea all together, but you never know....

i didnt know if i would be able to hear the heartbeat at my eight week appt but since you did at 7 weeks,,,,hopefully i will be able to too:)

Jenn, you will most likely be able to hear the heartbeat and see it as well at 8 weeks. It looks like a little flashing light. And then, of course, as the pregnancy progresses, the heartbeat gets stronger and pronounced.

I wasn't supposed to go in for my scan until Jan 2nd, but since I reported a few drops of brownish discharge at the beginning of week six, they wanted to see me early just to rule out the chance of a tubal pregnancy. Well, thankfully, the baby was in the uterus and there was a viable heartbeat!

Hey Brown eyed girl!!! How are you!! I was wondering how you were doing!! SO.... you are 7 weeks and two days??? I am 6 weeks and 4 days along!! I had an ultra sound last friday because of my spotting (it is still happening) and they said that there was a pregnancy, but it was too early to see a heartbeat. I have to go back in on December 28th for another scan, and by then I will be 7 weeks and 5 days along. I am hoping and praying that the baby is ok. I felt REALLY nauseous today, and my boobs are still sore, so I think that us a good sign that the baby is probably ok. I still haven't been able to kick this cold though!!! I have an ear infection now, but I DO NOT want to take anti biotics while I am pregnant!!!! I don't even like taking them when I am not pregnant.
I am SO happy for you!!!! I hope you are warmer in AZ then we are here in England... it has been 30 degrees Farenheit for the past few days, and FOGGY!!! BRRRRRR!!!

Hey Tiff! It's actually been pretty cold out here, by Arziona standards anyway.

I also had to have an early scan due to spotting, but everything seems to be okay, and I am sure it will be in your case too!

I thought I was only 6 weeks, but I am actually 7 and 1/2 weeks. It was my fault- I counted the weeks wrong in my calendar- I'm not really sure where my mind was that day!

I did feel nauseous this morning, but I drank some ginger ale, ate some crackers and I felt better. I have been pretty lucky in that department so far.

my all day sickness turned into morning and night sickness and now just a little bit in the morining which i can stop with gingerale and crackers..and no need for Tums anymore....
i wonder if i just had heartburn or a sour stomach and the Tums fixed that...
anyway...i feel almost normal

except i gag when i brush me teeth:)

my hubby keeps saying in his sleep "no more crackers" because i have to have one in the middle of the night or the morning to help my hunger and stomach:) he hates hearing my crunch...but its a small price for him to pay

Hi all! I am 6 weeks and 5 days. Very exciting. My symptoms are very, very sore boobs, and extreme exhaustion. I feel tired ALL the time. I could sleep 24 hours a day and still be tired.

Also, my nipple areas are darker and a little bit bigger. I don't have nausea yet but I do get light headed sometimes...

I did an ultrasound last week because my doc wanted to and we got to see the heartbeat (a little flicker) and that was amazing. I go back for another ultrasound in two weeks and I can't wait.

I pray that everything is ok. I am so nervous about finding out that maybe my baby is not normal/healthy. Is that bad?

Well, I still have this dumb cold. It's probably turned into a sinus infection but I don't want to take any antibiotics either, so I'm just going to suffer for awhile!

No real sickness yet, probably once I kick the cold. But I gag when I brush my teeth too!! I always did when I was pregnant with my son too!

What is it with colds in early pregnancy? It is AWFUL!!! Not only am I not sleeping because I can't breathe...... during the day, I feel nauseous as well!

We did our grocery shopping today, and the trip to the super market was horrible!! It smelled SO bad to me!!!! I drank a whole bunch of ginger ale today, that helped a lot.

Yeah, really. Is there some connection between getting a cold and the early stages of pregnancy? It just seems like so many of us got one. Maybe it is just because it is cold and flu season???

At this point I feel a little bit of nausea every once in awhile, but then it subsides rather quickly. I drink ginger ale and eat some crackers when it happens. However, I was able to go out for Indian food tonight, so clearly nothing in the way of strong smells bothers me at all! Still the sore boobs, a little more tired than usual, but nothing drastic. So far, so good....I am about to enter my 8th week so who knows if more symptoms will develop then?

My best friend found out yesterday that she is having a girl!!! Secretly, I know that's what she wanted and I am SO happy for her. She left me a message and she sounded very pleased with herself- I could tell she was thrilled!

well my food adversions have started i guess, since i can now breathe:) i love desserts usually....like all of the time i would want any kind of sweet....now though...i really dont care for desserts which is SO WEIRD for me:)


what i crave day and night is McDonald's hamburger(not cheeseburger) and fries!!!!!! I never eat McDonald's eigher!!

I think my weight gain might start very soon:)

Hey ladies!!! How are you all? Well I am exactly 7 weeks along today!!! My spotting has stopped (knock on wood). I still have a cold, but it has improved A LOT!!! I go in for the ultrasound to check on the baby again this thursday! I will be 7 weeks and 5 days along then. I hope and pray that the spotting was a freak thing, and that there is a strong heartbeat!!!! I still have all the symptoms.... constant fatigue and hunger seem to be the most dominant. Boobs still hurt. Nausea comes on if I smell something I don't like, or if I go too long without eating(which for me is any period of time longer than 2 hours!!!)

ANYONE HAVING WEIRD PREGNANCY DREAMS??? My dreams are SO real, and yet CRAZY!!! I have a lot of flying dreams, dreams that my teeth and hair are falling out!!! They are long and complex!!! My husband has heard me talking in my sleep A LOT!!!

I finally think the cold is almost gone! There MUST be some connection between pregnancy and colds! Plus, it's 10 times worse because we don't want to take anything so we suffer more! I know it's cold season but GEESH!

I'm really only having a problem with nausea when I brush my teeth or when I eat too much. Not that I have a huge appetite but with the holidays, I was kind of pigging out! But, I'm usually a big chocolate/dessert person too and that stuff doesn't even look good to me now. How strange is that!?

Haven't had any weird dreams yet. But that's probably because I haven't been sleeping well. Not sure if it's from being sick, or from worrying about things. I wake up in the middle of the night and can't fall back asleep, too much on my mind. But, I'll let you know if I get some strange dreams. I have flying dreams a lot, normally. So, kinda weird that I HAVEN'T been dreaming about that!

I have been having weird and vivid dreams....as well as not sleeping....i fall asleep early and then wake up at like 1 and am wide awake till 4 am!!! I cant stand it! I am not worried about anything...but i am so hungry my stomach is killing me in the middle of the night and i have to pee.... i try to eat some crackers by my bed and drink gingerale but it doesnt satisfy me...

plus, whenever i eat, it feels good while i am eating but then i feel sick about ten minutes later and wish that i didnt eat....i think i have gained weight already....its like my body is holding onto it when normally i wouldnt hold on the weight from just everyday activity of moving around..

going to the docs today for my first visit and with my hubby:) ill let you all know how it goes:)

The peeing thing in the night has sucked for me! I actually slept so deeply a few nights ago, that I didn't wake up to pee at all, which normally I wake up twice!! By the time I actually woke up, I had been dreaming that I was desperately trying to find a toilet, but to no avail!!! LOL. When I finally got up to pee, I was in SO much pain in my lower abdomen, it took me 5 minutes to pee, and afterwards, my muscles in my lower abdomen were dang sore.
Tomorrow, I have my scan to see if the baby is growing normally even though I have had some spotting off and on for the past 2 weeks. The last ultrasound I had, I was 5 weeks, 6 days along, and it was too soon to see a heartbeat then. However, the baby measured perfectly, to how far along I was.
Tomorrow, I will be 7 weeks 5 days along. I am so nervous. I just want to see that little angel's heartbeat fluttering on the screen! I too, will keep you all posted about what happens. I still have all my pregnancy symptoms in full force, so hopefully, that means everything will be ok!!!
Nausea is pretty bad this week. The fatigue is crazy too! I fell asleep at 6:30 pm last night, and I slept until almost 8 am!! It was insane!!! I feel SO tired all the time!

Hey Girls! Tiff, thanks for calling out to me and asking as to how I was doing! I am doing okay. Some nausea in the morning, but once I drink some Giner Ale and have some crackers, it subsides. Some fatigue too, but nothing terribly unbearable. I do have a lingering cough as a result of my cold and it's soooo annoying! I called my doc's office and they suggested cough drops, hot tea and Vic's Vapo Rub. If it gets worse, like brochitis, they will give me a safe antibiotic, but nothing is truly safe, so I really hope it goes away on its own!

I am definitely hungrier than usual, and also feel like I have gained weight already and that is a bit disconcerting, but I am trying not to let it get me down. I have made a promise to myself that I will get back in tip-top shape after the baby is born!

I am 8 weeks and 4 days along. I have my first "official" appt. with my OBGYN on Jan. 2nd, which includes another ultrasound. The first u/s I had was because of my spotting, but everything was fine! So, Tiff_P, stay positive and I know everything is going to be alright!!!! Let us know what happens, Sweetie! Good luck!

Hey everyone! I had my scan today, and we saw the baby's heartbeat flickering on the screen! We are so relieved, I cried because I was so happy. The only strange thing is they measured the baby to be 6 weeks and 5 days, when I am actually 7 weeks and 5 days along. Weird. BUT.... there is a heartbeat!!

i had an ultrasound on thursday at 8wks5dys and saw my little peanut....i almost cried:) my hubby and i saw the heartbeat and were in awe....everything looks great and i am so excited i cant stand it:) so far i love being preggers:) !!!
the heartbeat was 154 beats per minute, which myths say if its over 140 then its a girl...so we will see:) it worked for all 5 of my moms babies and my sisters babies with the heartbeat myth...my hubby really wants a girl so he is excited:)

Hey congrats to all the newly pregnant girls. At first my little ones heartbeat was 171, I was like yep a girl. Then it went to 163 and I was like "ok still a girl" then went down to 150 right before my sonogram. Keep in mind I've always said I just wanted a baby didnt matter what s/he was. Well it was a little boy and his last heartbeat was 158 so watch out for those heartbeats, they can change the whole time. Of course everyone is different. I got one of those heartbeat monitors and even though they say you can hear it untill the end of your second tri, I've been able to hear Jr. since I was 19 weeks. I'm thrilled about my little guy, and I found a great website where you can meet people in the exact same week as you, I love it, its http://www.i-am-pregnant.com/pregnancy/ I spend alot of time there because you can create your own little page and read other womens stories, its great and it takes you to whatever week you are in.
