I wasn't too sure where to put this, but because it's a Parental thing, I thought I put it here.

My ex and I are separated. We bought a house almost 6 years ago 45 minutes in a village outside of the city. We both work in the city. Now that we are separated, I still live in our old house and he moved to the city. I have to commute 45 minutes 1 way to bring the kids to him during the week.

Now I enrolled our daughter in the village public school for this coming Fall, but her dad thinks it's best for her to be in the city because he's there and looks after them during the day. I am constantly giving into his needs because he moved here and he can't afford to travel back and forth to the village.

I always thought that you have to pay if you enroll your kids in a school in another town. I guess it would be more convenient for her to be in the city since I'm here during the day aswell, but I fear the city and don't want her a part of the city kids. She also knows familiar faces that will be in her class in the village.

I feel like I have less and less control of my kids and my ex is slowly stealing them away from me, we wanted to give them a small town life not the city life. UGH, my whole body is shaking over wondering what to do and what is best.

What do you all think?
